The system utilises detailed TZ Maps (raster and vector charting) to ensure you have the best level of digital charting for your region. Details of charts are available here https://mytimezero.com/tz-maps-catalog/
Coastal Monitoring is a vital part of maritime infrastructure – the system suits oil and gas platforms, harbours and ports, protected marine facilities or areas, marinas, fish farms as well as national authorities and coastguards.
It can also act as a valuable safety system for port workers in the event of a MOB or casualty falling in the water. AIS MOB SART devices are easily fitted to life jackets and will activate a SART message.
DESCRIPTION
AIS – The core of the system
Core to the system is the AISNET base station receiver. This is a highly sensitive dual channel AIS receiver capable of processing all AIS targets even if the AIS system is running at capacity. Class B, Class B+ and Class A targets are all decoded and processed as well as specialist AIS devices like SARTS and MOB devices. The AISNET is supplied with a high gain, best in class 4dB AIS tuned antenna for exceptional performance.
AISNET features a USB interface to connect direct to the PC and also features a network interface so will connect to an office based router for sharing of received AIS data with other local users as well as 3rd party aggregators such as Marine Traffic etc
The AIS system offers the possibility to display all the AIS targets on the chart and in real time. An AIS antenna positioned at 10m height will typically receive vessels up to 50 NM.
TZ Coastal Monitoring comes with the best AIS management available. With our extremely powerful technology, AIS Targets can be set to specific colours according to the type of vessel. Targets can be classified automatically or manually, giving you ultra-precise information about the surrounding vessels.
In order to keep track of a specific fleet, TZ Coastal Monitoring offers the possibility to create a “buddy list” using the vessels’ MMSIs. It is then possible to display the “buddy “vessels with a specific colour. It is also possible to cancel all the alarms linked to those vessels (enter/leave an area for example)
You can also follow a specific target in the centre of the screen and recall target track. Targets can also display all the static data on vessel identity, size, call sign and name.
Detailed Charts & Marks
TZ Coastal Monitoring supports detailed TZ Maps. Options include S57 data too. Additional databases of marks and points can also be imported (eg Fishsafe) as well as customisable community edits. TZ Maps include both vector and raster chart formats as well as a 3D BathyVision view of underwater contours.
Operators can quickly use charting features to measure range and bearing, provide navigation assistance etc.
System Alarms & Alerts with Rules Based Options
Digital Yacht TZ Coastal Monitoring offers advanced and fully customisable alarms management. In seconds, authorised users can create new alarms and rules using the alarm options menu.
It is very easy to draw a boundary of the area to monitor and assign a specific behaviour that triggers a notification. A rule can be the following:
- Target Enters the area
- Target Exits the area
- Target Stops in the area
- Target Restarts from the area
Users can define acceptable speed limits and assign it to an area. In the event of an alarm, operators can simply click from the alarm list to acknowledge it.
Weather forecasts
TZ Coastal Monitoring offers free and unlimited access to our weather server. Weather forecasts can be received by email and via an internet connection.
Thanks to the integration of weather data display technology, TZ is able to provide these weather forecasts in the form of animated pixel level graphics which allows for easy viewing of the evolution of the condition of wind, waves and other relevant data over the forecast period.
Digital Yacht also have a range of environmental sensors such as wind, depth, temp, etc which can be connected to the system for real-time data displays.
Advanced Options
The system can be expanded with:
- Furuno radar integration
- CCTV network cameras or Thermal imaging
- VHF radio recording
- Multiple source data recording – video, audio, AIS, track etc
